I have questions about modem connected at the tty00 entry of a DecSystem 5240 under Ultrix 4.3. I have a USRobotics courier dual V34/Fax used for incomming at-home users whose protocols go from V23 to V34. 1- What is the best tty00 entry in /etc/ttys to take advantage of the courier V34 ? It goes with tty00 "/etc/getty std.19200" dialup on modem shared # Modem but I have problem with #tty00 "/etc/getty std.38400" dialup on modem shared # Modem for which I have just copied the 19200 line in the gettytab and replace 19200 by 38400. 2- Later, I hope supply to my users the opportunity to display X-Window on their home computer. What is the MINIMUM to do on the Ultrix system ? Can I hope to have on the same line modem, the usual tty entry and the one necessary for X-Window display ? 3- Moreover, I am't satisfied with my actual Courier configuration, it don't regulary takes the line at the 2nd ring. Have someone experience with this material and trick for me ? 4- I have not successed the installation of the Courier on Alfa OSF 3.2. The login don't start. Oherwise I can communicate with tip. Thanks in advance. Jean-Pol Guillement Nantes, France.
