Thank all of you who have replied, but the problem still exists.
The netmask is correct, I checked it, 255.255.255.224
Bu netstat -r shows that I have no default gateway ! The most surprising 
fact is that machien had almost no problems some weeks ago !!!

Our gateway is palamut129.cmpe.boun.edu.tr. A Novell machine. Later I 
discovere that there is no /etc/gateways file in my machine. How should I 
set it?
