It seem my first summary never got through. Here it is again.

Hello,

I got the solution to my nslookup problem within an hour.
	Thanks to Paul Southworth (pauls@etext.org).

I did not include the full message but the problem can be summarized
as follows. My very old ULTRIX machines try to do some inverse query
when i start up "nslookup" which is not supported by all BIND server.
Here are the 3 solution suggested :

>
> 1. If you're running BIND v8 on your nameserver, add "fake i-query yes;"
> to your named.conf and restart the server. This should go in a global
> "options" section of the named.conf
>
> 2. If you're running BIND v4 on your nameserver, you could recompile
> named and "#define INVQ" in conf/options.h
>
> 3. You could compile BIND on your Ultrix system (either v4 or v8) and
> replace nslookup with the one that ships with BIND. It won't use an
> inverse query to discover the canonical name of the nameserver.

Solution # 1 worked for for me.
I should probably also update "nslookup". I had several answers
statint that it was bugged on ULTRIX.

	Sylvain
