I need a help in straightening up my credit record. After I left the country 5 years ago, my old school sent an outstanding debt to the state attorney general's office. Since I was out of the country, I had not received any notices regarding this debt. For two years, the attorney general'f office tried to track me down, but no luck (obviously). So they reported me to credit agencies. When I got back here I applied for a line of credit, I found out that I have a bad credit history. Since I was not notified about this debt at all by the school, or the attorney general's office, I feel that the actions taken by them are extremely unjust considering their impact on me. I would appreciate any information regarding what I can or should do to solve this provlem. Kiwamu Asai University of Colorado Boulder Voice: (303) 786-4960 asai@ucsu.colorado.edu
