I don't think this quite correct: As I understand it, Mr. Muhammad
will get $3000 for speaking at CU, but only $800 of it is
actually University money; the rest comes from private
donations.

Most likely, that will mean the rest of your time here will
be short. If you haven't paid the fees by the end of one
semester, the University won't let you enroll in the next.
I don't think one person can effectively win this sort
of pissing contest with the University. Now, if you
got, say, 20% of the student body to do the same thing
(good, old-fashion, collective union work), you might
accomplish something.

Well, not quite: Mr. Muhammad and his people haven't actually
lynched anyone yet. Giving money to the Aryan Nation might
be a better analogy...

By the way, and if memory serves, Mr. Muhammad is part of
the Nation of Islam. So if you are worried about your
money going to this group, you should also realize that
they also get a share of your federal tax dollars: They
have taken over management of several housing projects
around the country and therefore receive federal funds
to run them. To make the issue a bit more complex,
the projects they manage are among the best run and
safest ones in the nation. To make the issue even
more complex, some of those tax dollars go to their
private security company, the Fruit of Islam, which
in some sense is also a de facto private army...
