I've heard their lead guitarist does a striptease in the middle of the set, but that could be bunk. The Shivers is their name, Boulder's best surf band since the Astronauts disbanded in the mid-sixties. The shows I've seen were pretty good, their style ecclectic, annoying and worth every cent for the free show they're playing at Penny Lane coffee house on Friday Dec. 9. They say they plan to play an electric set and an acoustic set, so it should be a real mix of love soup.
Soapy Argyle, lead singer and guitarist has vowed to throw eggs at the members of the Samples if he ever gets the chance.
