                  Customer Support Assistant


Visual Numerics, the makers of PV-WAVE, is offering qualified students the 
opportunity to work with technical professionals in the exciting field of 
scientific visualization. 

        Position Title:  Customer Support Assistant
        # of Positions:  Two Part-Time Positions
        Work Schedule:   Flexible Hours (M-F/ 8am-6pm)
        Hours per Week:  10 - 30
        Start Date:      ASAP
        End Date:        Indefinite
        Salary:          To Be Determined
        Major Requested: Math, CS/MIS, or Engineering

Qualifications:

 * Must have experience with one of the following: UNIX, VMS, or Windows.
	
 * Must have good communication skills and a desire to work with customers.

 * Programming experience in any of the following is desired: 
		C, Fortran, IDL, or PV-WAVE.

 * Knowledge or experience in any analysis or visualization software is a plus.

Duties:

 * Answering customer calls for the Customer Support Help Desk.

 * Product troubleshooting and problem area determination.

 * Product quality assurance testing.
