Now Eldora Mountain Resort (ski resort) joins the junk emailers. :-(
Please do not do business with Eldora, and instead take your skiing
business to another resort which doesn't use unethical junk email for
advertising.
See the newsgroup "news.admin.net-abuse.email" for more details for
those unfamiliar with junk email (is there anybody left who is not now
familiar with junk email...? :-) or should that be ":-("...).
Here are the full headers from the junk email (my address has been
replaced with Xs for spam protection (well, it didn't seem to stop them
this time :-( )) :

It's amazing they would actually encourage people to look at. For example their skier services page at http://eldora.com/services.html still lists the 1995-96 Lift Ticket prices, nor does there appear to be any information anywhere about the new terrain they've added this year. -- Colin Rosenthal High Altitude Observatory Boulder, Colorado rosentha@hao.ucar.edu

RosenthaHaoSnipmeUcarEdu, Check your facts. You are way off. I am the WebMaster for the page you have poopooed below. It is up to date and even includes the "Mystery" link that will print out a Session Pass Discount of $350 off the regular session price of $450. All you have to do is check and you too could have an all session pass for unlimited skiing for only $100. P.S. We have also added two state of the art chairlifts. Having just checked the page, I will confirm that the rates listed are for 1995-1996. Looks out of date to me. >On 1 Oct 1997 15:06:56 GMT, rosentha@asp.hao.ucar.edu (Colin >Rosenthal) wrote: > >On 1 Oct 97 06:46:52 GMT, >Neil Collins <Marina.mermaid+NOSPAMmaster@Colorado.EDU> wrote: >> Now Eldora Mountain Resort (ski resort) joins the junk emailers. >:-( Also, you make no mention or excuse for the unsolicited junk email. SPAM is bad, and unless you can come up with a good explination, I for one will not be recomending Eldora to any of my friends that want to go skiing. -=- Matthew L. Seidl -- -=- Matthew L.
