I have a Panasonic KX-TG2550S 2.4Ghz cordless phone w/ caller ID that
I am getting rid of. The catch is that if the handset is left
unused out of the base station for about 2 minutes it goes dead.
This doesn't happen if you are actually *using* the phone but it
does mean you can't leave it idle unless it is in the base station,
which is a bit of a pain.

This is a relatively new phenomenon--the phone worked fine for over
a year. Then, as if by design, after the warranty was up it started
doing this :-) You may be able to get Panasonic to fix the thing--
I just sent some e-mail to their customer service address and got no
reply.

Other info:
o This phone interferes with 802.11b wireless networks
o The phone uses both 900Mhz and 2.4Ghz frequencies (one for voice
and one for communicating with the base station). Thus, it has
two antennas. Perhaps it is just a problem with one of them
o Once the handset has gone dead the only way to revive it is to
place it in the base station or unplug + replug the handset battery.

Panasonic still sells this model for > $100. Hopefully they've fixed
the problems on the current revision.
Free to the first person who replies and picks it up from me at CU.
