UCSUB will be down for a major hardware upgrade starting Friday January 22nd at 7pm. Due to the massive amount of data that needs to be moved to the new system, UCSUB will be down for approximately 48 hours. Any help you can provide by deleting files you no longer need, including mail, will help. ITS apologizes for having to perform this upgrade during the semester but unfortunately the equipment did not arrive in time to do the upgrade over break. Questions, comments and concerns regarding the upgrade should be sent to trouble@ucsub.colorado.edu The new system will be a Sun UE 3500 with 4 333MHz CPUs, 2.0GB RAM and 63GB of user disk. The current system is a Sun SS 1000E with 6 50MHz CPUs, 704MB RAM and 32GB of user disk. This upgrade will provide a serious performance boost for UCSUB. This upgrade is being made possible by the Student Computing Fee.
