Dear LINGs,

Thought I would update you on some of the upcoming events for the Department.
============================================================================
===========

Wednesday, November 24, 1999 -- Religious Studies will be moving to the new
Humanities Building. For us, this means that the second floor and elevator
will be very congested and noisy that day with movers, etc. Due to the
move, the main office will be closed that day and it has been recommended
that if you can stay out of the building that day to please do so.

Thursday-Friday, November 25-26, 1999 -- The main office will be closed for
the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Monday, December 6, 1999, 3:30 pm -- Tour of the new LING space in Hellems.
 Bring your tape measures and drawing pads! NOTE: Any furniture that has
been left behind by French and Italian (and Religious Studies) is available
for use by Linguistics. So go shopping!

Friday, December 10, 1999, 2:00 pm, Room 204 -- Department Holiday Potluck.
 Friends, family, significant others are all welcome. RSVP to Susan with
your potluck dish and decorating ideas. The Department will supply drinks,
plates, cups, utensils, door prizes, etc.

December 27 - January 3, 2000 -- The main office will be closed for the
holidays.

Weeks 1 or 2 in January 2000 -- The department will be moving to Hellems.
All those with offices should be packed and ready to go. More info to come
on this from Pam Topping.
