Subject: Job advertisement

There appear to be some difficulties with the job advertisement I sent
out yesterday. Some people cannot open the attachment, and the incorrect
starting date was given. Here is the full text.

UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH PACIFIC - SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES

Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer in Literature and Language
 Ref. 99/87 - VLV004

The appointee will be based at the Pacific Languages Unit (PLU), on
USP's Emalus Campus, Port Vila, Vanuatu. The PLU offers programmes in
Pacific Language Studies and the appointee will be expected to teach

discipline; be able to teach undergraduate courses across a range of
different areas; and be familiar with the language situation in the
Pacific. For appointment at the Lecturer level, applicants must have a
PhD in a relevant area or a relevant Masters degree with a good
publication record; and significant teaching experience in a developing
context.

Preference will be given to applicants with working knowledge of a
national language of one or more of the USP countries. Experience in
