If you do Show System Components X Server you'll get a cool diagram of every subsystem X Server needs and when you do Load System it loads whatever it needs that hasn't been loaded yet. I manually loaded C Runtime 435.0 Released and also C Packages 433.0 Released but I still got the error. One interesting thing though; Loading C Packages only does this: Reading SYS:C;PACKAGES;PACKAGE-DUMMY.LISP.1 Initializing system C Packages version 433 Loading patches for system C Packages version 433 PACKAGE-DUMMY.LISP.1 just has a copyright comment with zero Lisp code. I wonder why a dummy package has been provided, and if the bzero definition was perhaps in there. I have a Genera 8.3 CD and a layered products CD.... Christopher
