Sounds like a hardware problem. >Also, sometimes a message like > > [16:03:52 Warning: An error correction has occurred in physical memory. > For further information use the Show Memory Error Corrections :Detailed Yes] Go to the FEP. SCAN iNNN-tests.flod (NNN is the version you have in your FEP dir). Then you have several commands to test your memory. Test Main Memory . Etc. This should help to locate the memory problem. > >[By the way, do any of you know of a keyboard for the PC with the same >clickiness and feel of the Symbolics keyboard?] The last keyboard from Symbolics (the heavy one, it could be a part of a "guillotine") is the best. The advantage of a MacIvory is that you can get an adapter to connect the keyboard and the 3-button mouse to the Mac (up to 68040/Quadras - unless somebody is willing to improve the driver to make it work on a PowerPC Mac - just the keyboard would be cool for MCL). So you can use the Symbolics keyboard on a Mac together with modern color monitors. Sometimes I'm transferring text files to my MacIvory - just that I can edit them there. There is nothing like that for the PC or for Unix boxes - AFAIK. Rainer Joswig, "Lavielle" EDV Systemberatung GmbH & Co.
