Thanks for replying!  I've solved some of the problems I'm talking about
via phone, in the past, so I guess it did not immediately occur to me
that I'd need someone in person.  There are several levels to the issues
that I'm trying to tackle.  Unfortunately, if I had the time to delve
into the lisp, I imagine I could solve some of them myself.
