I'm looking for any info on the language LIL, that was used for
programming the FEP on the Symbolics. Examples, docs, description,
recollections, ... Just about anything. I need to design a lisp like
language for embedding in an application, so I'm trying to find out
	what people have done before.

There was no documentation or description. The only code ever written
in LIL was the 3600 (L- and G- machine) NFEP code.

Actually, there was a manual (of sorts) and I think it was used for the OFEP,
but you're mostly right.

							It was pretty well
suited for its purpose, and certainly more usable than Pascal. The
fact that you could use real macros was a big help.

If you're really trying to design a Lisp-like language for embedding
in an application, I suggest starting with Scheme or Eulisp, not LIL.
