I like:

COMMON LISP by Wade L. Hennessey, McGraw-Hill, 1989;
ISBN 0-07-028177-7 .

Good introduction for programmers: teaches lisp style
as well as basics and philosophy, starts at zero and
moves fast. Includes example implementations of
object-oriented and logic programming systems;
excellent chapter on compilation.

BTW, Wade has also written a complete common lisp
available by ftp: cdr.stanford.edu:pub/wcl .
