I have the Exceed package on a PC. I would like
to use it to pop x-windows from my NXP1000 Lispms.
Everything almost works out of the box if I use
"start x etc." on the NXP1000 and specify the host
by its IP address. ALMOST, unfortunately does not
map any key on my standard 101/102 key keyboard
as a meta key. Do any of you have an implemented
solution to make this all work? If so, please
send any email that might be smashed by netscape,
etc., directly to
jeff@split.nrtc.nortrop.com
That is the address of one of the Lispms. Please
let me know that something has been sent via the
from (or reply-to address) on the msg you are
reading now. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
What does
:show x keyboard mapping
show on the NXP when using Exceed? (I've used Exceed
successfully, but in 8.5/Open Genera 2.0.) If it shows
the default keyboard mapping, adding a namespace entry
for selecting which keyboard mapping to use might be a
way to go. (I'm assuming you are using 8.3.) There were
mappings for NCD and NDS x terminals, which basically use
a PC-style keyboard. You can also add your own mappings
(m-. x-screen::*keyboard-signatures* to see the existing
ones, they are defined at the end of that file).
Hope that helps.
