We are pleased to announce the pilot test of a new print server for students. In an attempt to increase reliability we are moving to the commercial version of cups called ESP Print Pro (www.easysw.com). Setup for the new server will be very similar to the old server, but will unfortunately requires everyone to reinstall the printer(s). Use of the Adobe postscript drivers on windows machines will be mandatory for this new server. Official instructions should be posted on help.cwru.edu soon. If you decided to use the pilot server, the help desk will NOT be able to help you with any problems you have. They will simply direct you to printing-problems@technicalsupport.cwru.edu. Please let others know about this pilot. We encourage everone to try it and give us feedback on how it works. If this pilot goes well, we will remove the old server and replace it with this new one at the start of the school year. WINDOWS 1) Everyone must "register". This only needs to be done once.
