So I'm looking to get some fairly major renovations done on my house
(inside and outside, multiple rooms), and was wondering if any of you
had any particular general contractors that you'd recommend? Right now
I'm just trying to get quotes to decide how much of this wish list of
projects is worth doing and how much I can live without.

Thanks!

Tom

Tom,
I suppose this depends on the extent of your project, but my friend Josh
Wolin does a great job with home repair. For my place he's replaced my
washer, hot water heater, garage roof, built a darkroom, replaced
lighting fixtures, snaked drains, etc. For others he's remodeled
kitchens, baths, etc. His business is "A Josh of All Trades" and he is
based in the Heights.

He has both individual and commercial clients, the latter of which
include Tommy's on Coventry, Major's Club Isabella, and a variety of
apartment buildings.
You can reach him at 216.375.6773 or handypandaman@nccw.net. If you have
a project that doesn't fall under his purvue, he can hook you up with
someone he trusts.
He's in the process of moving right now so I don't know if his computer
is unpacked, so you'll probably want to try him via phone.
