Fans of the Crimetime after Primetime TV series, Forever Knight, are
organizing a blood drive, in support of the show.

For those who are unaware, USA Networks announced on December 23, that
they were cancelling the show. This has spurred a groundswell of
support, via the internet. Since the 23rd, a Save Our Show website was
set up, which has now surpassed 10,000 hits, in just a month! A massive
letter writing campaign was started. People have been phoning their
affiliate stations, to request they ask for the show. $5,800.00 was
raised, from fans, and donated to the Pediatric Aids Foundation, a
favorite charity of the show's star. Thousands of dollars were raised to
manufacture bags and brochures for handing out at NATPE (National
Association of Television Programming Executives) last week, and to place
an ad in the show's (NATPE) show catalogue! The support has been mind
boggling, and apparently it is having an effect! We may be able to save
another great Canadian show (aka Due South, was cancelled last year)

Another activity being done all over the States and Canada, are blood
drives, in the name of the show. Personally, I think, donating blood in
support of a show about a vampire, is a hoot, but a great idea! And it's
also a darn good charitable activity! So, if you're a fan, and in the
Halifax area, perhaps you'd like to join us, on February 6th at the Red
Cross Center in Halifax, and do a good deed. If you're interested,
please e-mail me and I'll keep you up to date on the details, as we pull
it together.
