James Keast feels that the presidents of DAL and TUNS should not be
involved in a "back-room deal" to merge DAL and TUNS.

I am under the impression that there is a lot of negotiating taking
place. For this reason I am not concerned over how the presidents wish
to conduct bussiness. I see the negotiating process as being very
similar to a union negotiating a contract. None of the details of a deal
are realeased untill a tentative deal has been reached. I trust my
university president, Dr. Rhodes, to negotiate the best deal for me as a
TUNS student.

I don't think that the universities are being given any choice regarding
this merger. My understanding is that cabinet is very much in favour of
the DAL-TUNS merger. Remember that election time is getting closer and a
DAL-TUNS merger would allow the government to say: "Hey, we did manage
to merge DAL-TUNS and save big $$$."

While I am not particularly found of a DAL-TUNS merger. I don't see it
as being a "BAD-THING." I would like to know what other DAL and TUNS
students think. James Keast and I are hardly a representative sample of
students :-)
