The United States is NOT a true democracy. It is a Constitutional
Republic. The majority can do many things, but the minority is
protected from many of the things the majority may want to do
to them.

I've seen it written that the best example of a TRUE democracy is
two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.
