ATTEND VDOT MEETING ON PROPOSED ROUTE 50 RECONSTRUCTION NEAR FORT MYER

VDOT will hold a Citizen Information/Participation Meeting on Wednesday,
April 12, 5:30-7:30 PM, to present its proposed conceptual design for
reconfiguring and rebuilding Route 50 (Arlington Blvd) around Fort Myer in
Arlington between N. Rolfe St and N. Pershing Dr/Henry Gate, including the
two interchanges at Courthouse Rd and 10th Street N.  This upcoming
project offers a rare opportunity to substantially upgrade bicycling and
walking access along both sides of Route 50. 

The informal, open-house meeting will be held in the Arlington County
Government Center (#1 Courthouse Plaza), Lobby Conference Rooms C&D, 2100
Clarendon Blvd, Arlington (Courthouse Metro).  Arrive anytime between 5:30
PM and 7:30 PM to review and discuss the proposed plans with project and
agency staff and to submit written or oral comments.  Written comments may
also be submitted by April 22 to:  Mr. Thomas F. Farley, District
