I am posting this ad for a friend who is running a great deal on a nice
road racing bike.

make: Specialized model: Allez Comp
year: 1994 color: pearl silver with purple lettering

size: 58cm(23") Typical rider height is around 5'11" to 6'2". Road
bike sizing is very particular, so it actually depends more on your
inseam and arm lengths.

frame+fork: Tange Prestige chromoly steel, double butted tubing. Fully
lug brazed frame. Sakae aluminum fork. The frame is very light, less
than 4 lbs.

components: Shimano 105SC parts or better. Downtube shifters. Dual
pivot brakes. Mavic Open 4 rims.

price: asking $550, but very highly negotiable.

My friend really needs to sell this bike.  It is in showroom condition;
it has hardly been ridden, no more than 100 miles. The parts are
actually variable. Meaning my friend is willing to change certain
components on the bike. For example, Ultegra 600 STI shifters instead
of DTs and he has two different wheelsets among other things. The
frameset brand new retails for $400. He would be willing to sell the
frameset for $200.

Like I said, the parts, components, and price are highly variable.
Also, he would prefer to sell to someone in Maryland, Washington DC,
Northern Virginia area. Anyone interested please e-mail ASAP.
