🚀 go-pugleaf

Well, I couldn't resist the temptation this weekend so I tried out Mick's
at 2401 Pennsylvania Avenue.  This place is really pretty cool.  I loved
the atmosphere which was sort of like an upscale Boogie's Diner.  The
place
was quite large and empty when I went for lunch on Sunday.  They have a 
small Brunch menu on the weekends in addition to their regular menu.  The
service was outstanding and the food pretty good for that type of
restaurant.
The portions though were huge.  I had a simple soup and sandwich which was
really good and my friend had a breakfast burrito which she ate only half
of
but by the expressions on her face she really loved it.  I almost ordered
the
meatloaf and mashed potatoes because it looked soooo tempting but opted 
to save myself for dessert.  I had the City paper coupon for a free
dessert 
and chose the Heath Bar pie.  It was an ice cream pie with a caramel sauce
bits of Heath bar and whipped cream.  REALLY good!  Apparently, the Oreo
cheesecake is the other most popular dessert.  We got out of there for $16
with 2 sodas.  A bargain IMHO.

They also have a wide selection of beers and a very nice bar. They are
also
located in Atlanta, Baltimore,  and somewhere else.
