Cordell avenue in Bethesda has become "the little Italy in Bethesda". There are around 5 Italian restaurants ranging from very expensive to modest. My favorite is La Paneteria. The food is excellent ! A salad and limitless bread is served with every meal. The white pizza with cheese is fabulous as is the clams with linguine in white sauce. The service is fast and very friendly. I have never been dissapointed at La Panetteria and recommend it highly ! The management would be more than happy to accomodate your party. Positano's is also very good. It is similarr to La Panetteria but I like the food at LP better. good luck ! Peter C.
