I am from South Carolina, where we do -- as a matter of fact -- wear shoes
most of the time, and no one has made any mention of the BBQ that can
be found there.

It is a pork BBQ with a mustard and vinegar based sauce, and it is
heavenly. I have enjoyed Red, Hot, & Blue, but the BBQ there pales
in comparison.

The best places in South Carolina (that I have tried) are:

Piggy Park BBQ, in West Columbia, SC
Shealys BBQ, in Batesburg, SC.
