Not really in DC at all, but this weekend we were up past Baltimore in
Cockeysville and happened across a place called York Garden Restaurant,
on York road.

And it was an excellent Indian restaurant... mostly the usual Bengali
stuff but with some oddities here and there.  Little things, like they
make their masala tea with black cardamom, and the parathas being a very
different style than you'll find in most places.

Anyway, if you find yourself up past Baltimore, you should check it out.
The food was excellent, and the place had just opened and didn't have 
any other customers.  From the outside I wouldn't have guessed it was
even an Indian place at all.
