Thanks to all those folks who answered my question about dim sum!
I think I'm going to check out this place called Fortune near
Bailey's Crossroad.

                              Thanks again,

                                   Bill

I assume this is the same place:
       Good Fortune
       2646 University Blvd., W.
       Wheaton, MD 20902

It was a superior dim-sum restaraunt.

I have heard that Good Fortune was started by one of the chefs who previosly
worked at Fortune. The dim sum there is similar in preparation and
presentation, and IMO well-done. Perhaps even as well done as Fortune.
Certainly, if you live in MD, it's more than a bit closer. Parking is a
pain, though - it's on the northern edge of the Wheaton Triangle area, which
is not abundantly provided with convenient parking.

No..No... The Fortune Restaurant frequently cited is between Bailey's
Crossroads ans Seven Corners in Northern Virginia; not in Maryland..
It is located on Route 7.. Very busy on weekends; but pretty good Dim Sum
with decent variety..

not exactly.... it is owned and run by the same people who own and
run tung bor (in wheaton plaza) and was opened outside the 'mall' so that
they would be able to stay open until 02:00. they are one of the best
chinese restaurants in the area, (i would rate them about # 3 or 4 in the
d.c. metro area,) and have better dim sum than the baily's crossroads place,
and even better than the tung bor restaurant. the closest place that is
better is in china town in new york....
