Anybody know of good places to get spicy hot food? - I'm talking excruciating, tongue searing, sweat provoking good food: either restaurants or gourmet stores. Something like Frankie's Wings in Cocoa Beach would be great too. In search of Habenaros...

I like the Thai House, Wilson Blvd. ( 2??? block ) Arligton. Beef w/ hot peppers & eat the peppers. Beef w/ Basil. Try Dave's Insanity Sauce. ( I sent to CA, mo-hotta mo-betta ), but it is made for Dave's Gourmet | 108 N. Columbus St | Alexandria, VA The place I used to eat at, stopped serving it because they had to rush several people to the emergency room. 3 dollaps in a bowl of chilli is all I can take. ( I walk into oriental places and ask for 'as hot as you can make it!' ) Mike Peterson | mikep@allegro.amf.com Mike Peterson | mikep@allegro.amf.com | Real Allegro Consulting Group, LLC | 409 N. I just had my first interaction with Dave's Insanity Sauce this weekend. I have to say as a seasoned chilehead, this is definitely da kine, bra. It is WAY hot. It sets new standards for those of us who are getting tired of 10+ habeneros "pasta from hell" meals. I disagree with the folks who say it doesn't taste like much -- it's definitely smokey, and has a bit of sour/garlic, taste too. What I want to know is what kinds of chiles are in it? It just says "chiles" on the jar... Larry -- Lawrence Hunter, PhD. National Library of Medicine Bldg. 38A, MS-54 Bethesda. This past week a special mailing list has been established that really seems to be on target for those of us who like (no, LOVE) hot food... Here's some info from the message you get when you subscribe: The Chile-Heads mailing list is for the discussion of anything relating to chile peppers -- including, but not restricted to growing chiles, storing and preparing chiles, recipes, etc. To subscribe, just send email to: chile-heads-request@chile.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu with "subscribe" as the body of the message (I added my name on the same line, but don't know if that was needed). It sounds like this is our kind of list... -- Glenn Tenney voice: (415) 574-3420 fax: (415) 574-0546 tenney@netcom.com Ham radio: AA6ER
