Well, since we're getting about 24-25 mpg on our new '99 Suburu
Forester, we haven't gotten too excited yet.  (Also, 23-26 mpg on the
'87 Olds Ciera and 28-34 mpg on the '81 Mazda pickup, both with 200,000
miles fast approaching on the odometer.  That new Dodge Ram pickup looks
less and less enticing.)

We all knew (or should have known) the lower prices wouldn't last.  The
only questions were how long they'd stay low and how high they're gonna
go.
