I go from the College Park area to Pittsbugh (Squirrel Hill) pretty regularly. Unfortunately the shortest route is the overpriced, too-narrow, turnpike through Breezwood. A nicer route, 20 min or so longer, is to take I-70 to I-68 to US40 in Keyser's Ridge, MD. There you go north to Uniontown PA and from there to either on US119(?) to the turnpike at New Stanton to PGH. Or, if you are going to South PGH, take PA51. Less traffic and nicer scenery. DAN- Don't get me going on Breezewood!
