Slower traffic.  And if you're so worried about a tailgater, you still have to
move to the right because that's the reason tailgaters exist.

On top of that, while I'm driving, I ALWAYS drive on the right and use the left
ONLY for passing.  Once I pass a car, I move immediately to the right.  That's
the reason I'm rarely tailgated.  I would NEVER stay on the left lane.
