First a cop would have to have PC to tear apart a car and that isn't going to happen just because an officer didn't get a reading on his radar. Even without a jammer, radars sometimes just stay blank for a few seconds. Second, the cop would have to have some ECM detection circuit which, though rumored to be on some guns, is non-existant. What some have is an "EMI" light. EMI=Electromagnetic Interference which could be anything, HAM gear, power lines, etc. Second, you aren't interfering with the officers duty, he can still see you and his gun is FCC type accepted which means it must accept any interference and not interfere with other equipment. What this boils down to is that cops do not have a god given right to X/K/Ka. Unless your stupid enough to admit to the officer that you have a jammer, there ain't much he can do other than complain to the FCC which won't do squat. They wouldn't even come out to my county and track down people getting on the Law Enforcement repeater and yelling racial stuff on it. A group of us local DX'ers and HAM's are the one's who tracked them down. So if the FCC won't do anything for something that serious, imagine what they'll say when some cop says his radar was jammed? Now, don't go thinking that if you build one you can blast by a cop at 100 in a 45 and not get stopped. He/She may not know you're exact speed, but you can still get a reckless driving ticket solely on the officers observation. All jammers do is buy you time in traps.
