(Note: I'm in baltimore, but this is relevant just about anywhere.)
I know it's a silly Subject line but actually I'm mad as hell.
My car was stolen from out front of our apt. sometime between 10 pm
7-18 and 5:30 am 7-19. No club, no non-factory antitheft stuff (I held
off on a club cos I'd heard they were pretty easy to hack. Smart move..)
We're on the last block of a street in what is usually considered a fairly
nice neighborhood in Baltimore City. Unfortunately, the car is a fairly
bright green color, and does call attention to itself on a block full of
white, blue, beige, brown, and maroon cars.
It'd help to hear from others who have had to deal with this problem,
while I wait for some word on what happened to the vehicle. Stuff like:
recovery statistics for stolen vehicles in Baltimore, how to deal
w/insurance company, other gotchas. (this was a 93 Ford Escort).
Email or post is okay - I read both. Thanks!
