AN/SLQ-32(V)3 operations, AN/SLQ-32(V)3 maintanence(NEC's 1733/1734), USN Surface Electronic Warfare Basic (A), USN Surface Electronic Warfare Advanced, various JAMEX's, Tracking exercises, 6 yrs of sailing all over the world zapping various types of airborne, shipborne, and ground based emitters. It was my job for a loooong time and still do ops in the Air Guard. Fun stuff. Thats how the hobby started. Lot's of free time at sea, and lot's of nice test equipment. So how does being a speed radar instructor enable you to locate jammers? > >I'm sure the FCC will get right on the case. > > In 1992 I dealt with the FCC on an unrelated RFI issue and it took a > little shove from a US Senator to get them moving. Once they did get > involved the issue was resolved in a matter of hours. I'll believe you there. The FCC will only moved when forcefully pushed or when there is an immediate threat (like the idiot in Richmond, Va. who went to the airport waving off landing jets). I used to think they had a SWAT team ready to do battle but for now they seem more interested in cell phone cloners and procedural stuff.
