Yes, we are very egalitarian out here.  You can piss people off in
any lane.

If you are referring to separate lanes in the middle of two-lane highways,
we don't have those either.  If you see a pair of solid yellow lines
about 10 feet apart with broken lines just inside of the solid lines, those 
are turn lanes and you will get a ticket or accident if you try to pass 
people there.  Double double lines more than a couple feet apart are
considered impenetrable barriers, not passing or turn lanes.

We do have passing lanes, but they are posted as such, as opposed to
people being expected to assume the left lane of the freeway is a passing
lane.  More often, a lane will be designated a slow lane.

With four or more lanes in one direction, and no posted slow lane, slow
moving vehicles can be in the two right lanes (21655(b) for the sceptical).

The lane to the left of a slow vehicle lane is considered a passing lane for
the slow vehicles.
