Then again, you haven't been listening. Zero tolerance, 1 over.
If you don't understand why that might upset some people, you are pretty
dense. If you don't understand why all cops get painted with the same
brush when some are fascist, you are pretty dense. If you think you know
all cops...

CHP has eye out for I-8 speeders today

UNION-TRIBUNE

23-Aug-1996 Friday

Drivers who zoom along Interstate 8 in East County may find themselves in
trouble with the California Highway Patrol today during a zero-tolerance
speeding effort called Operation 21.

The one-day effort takes its name from the 21 traffic deaths last year on
Interstate 8 in eastern San Diego County.

Officers said speeding, which makes it harder to steer or stop a vehicle,
contributed to many of those deaths. The chances of death or injury double
with each 10-mile increment over 50 mph, according to the U.S. Department
of Transportation.

Lest you think this is an isolated instance, be aware they've been doing
it all over the state, rural and urban. They've also implemented widespread
radar tickets, which they have never done before. The above just happens to
be one article I found with the minimum of searching.

I've put some never-posted adresses in sigs, and found them harvested by
spammers. FYI.
