This time on the way home from work, there was this lady in the left
lane. The traffic pulled away rapidly, the traffic was backed up
behind her. But she refused to pass this truck. So I flashed my lights
(the international standard for signaling your intent). She
then put on her turn signal to pull over to the right. Thing is, being
rush hour, there was simply no place to go to the right.
All the while she kept slowing and trying to back up but it was solid
bumper-to-bumper in the right lane. In the meantime the
bumper-to-bumper scenario in the left lane was one where the pack just
got closer and closer together.
Finally, after flashing repeatedly, she finally got brave enough to
speed up a tiny bit faster than the truck and pull over and let us all
by.
OBSERVATIONS:
- here is another "non-aggressive" driver lacking enough
"aggressiveness" to pass a semi (that had no reason to change
lanes, as the road was open ahead of him, she should not have
been so scared)
- here is another "non-aggressive" driver that had no business in
the left lane
- here is another "non-aggressive" driver trying to slow down in the
left lane causing a dangerous crunch in rush hour
- here is another "non-aggressive" driver, usually the type
that causes so many accidents by their lack of aggressiveness
and yet usually drive away from accidents they are really to
blame for.
