Earl: More tragic examples of the result of speeding and reckless driving: A motorist was going 85 mph, weaving from lane to lane to lane. He lost control of his car, and it flipped over several times, his seat belt failed, and he was ejected. The rescue squad workers found him at the bottom of an embankment, and his brain was hanging out. The coroner pronounced him dead. He was put in a body bag. He was taken to the morgue. A motorist was taking dope and doing 110 mph. He rounded a curve on an Interstate that was designed for 60 mph. A tractor-trailer was disabled and stopped (air brakes locked up) on the outer lane of the expressway. He hit his brakes at the last second, and he slammed into the back of the truck. His head got chopped off. A motorist was going 80 mph _in the rain_. His car hydroplaned, and spun out. It went off the road, up an embankment, and down, and hit a bridge pier at about 65 mph. The car literally flew apart. The guy had to be shoveled up. A New Jersey motorist was going 90 mph on Shirley Highway in Arlington. He rear-ended another car that was going 55 in the middle lane. The gas tank exploded, the cars turned over, and three people got cremated. It's not worth it. -- Scott M.
