I was coming up I-95 and I saw where a guard-rail had been hit and caved-in, towards the shoulder and away from traffic. Some highway crew had put up some orange barrels next to it. Gee, I wonder if the next driver who skids out of control will see the barrels and somehow magically bring the vehicle under control just long enough to avoid that part of the guard rail and hit some other part instead? So why did they waste time and money on the barrels?
