In article <1128800881.587108.305850@f14g2000cwb.googlegroups.com>, williammaw@aol.com says: >A few years ago, a few friends and I were touring Asia. In many places >over there, courteous driving is almost none-existence. Drivers don't >stop for pedestrians and in some places, not even at designated >pedestrian crossings. Do they *see* 'em?! I'm asking seriously. >Anyway, we all learnt how to dodge the cars by trial and error. ... just like we did in NYC, where coincidentally enough, the ped kill rate is lower than in "ped-friendly" (read: "pedestrians so stupid, they need laws to help 'em cross the street") California. -Kenny -- Kenneth R.
