Discussing the number of deaths out of context is just plain stupid. Yes 350 more fatalities occurred. Yes Interstate fatalities were up by 9%. The reason I refuse to commit this report as proof is the fact that if the VMT didn't go up by 9% then you may be correct, but if it went up by 10% or more, then the roads were actually safer. Even the NHTSA won't make the claim that speed causes every speed related accident, they list it as a factor. Big difference. >I hereby challenge >Brandon to find one listing speeding as the cause and get it >overturned. You backed out of the other challenge. This one is as >easy as it gets pal. Get crackin' or back down, the choice is yours. Heh, you really make me laugh sometimes, Earl. You post "proof" that warns you it doesn't prove anything and then get all upset when people tell you that, and now you're flailing about demanding that I prove something I've never claimed. Very sad. I have never claimed that excessive speed is not dangerous. I have never claimed that excessive speed doesn't kill people. What I have claimed is that excessive speed and exceeding the speed limit aren't the same thing. To demonstrate that I am wrong, Earl, you simply need to prove the correlation between the number of people exceeding the speed limit and the number of speed related fatalities on Interstates. Simple, no? -- Brandon "Spooooooooooonnnnn!"
