When DataRat was a new officer, he had
absolutely no concept of how to do interrogations.
He asked his mentor ( and his sergeant ) for
advice.   The Police Rodent was told to watch
reruns of Columbo.

It may sound corny, but it's true:   Ofc. Rat's
highly effective "interview technique" is a blatant
rip-off of Columbo.  DR is here to tell everyone
that the "Jack Webb" style of interrogation DOESN'T
work !
