The original post mentioned that the lady failed to stop for a long time
while being pursued with siren, etc. The cops never know what they will
confront when they get someone who refuses to pull over---drugs, alcohol,
insanity, criminals on the lam, etc. Sometimes they stop someone and get
shot in the face. A 58-year-old woman is not in the always harmless no
matter what category.

Slow drivers are in more accidents than fast ones are (at equal magnitude of
difference from the mean) and extremely slow ones are worse by orders of
magnitude.

Same here---many of them pull slowly out into traffic without even looking
to see if anyone is coming. Maybe they just can't turn their heads any
more.
