It seems to me some people aren't > even aware they have them on their car, much less that > they are on and are dazzling the drivers who are behind > them. Ever since Ford bought Jaguar, Dearborn/Detroit freeways (near Ford's WHQ) have been heavily populated by Ford execs driving Jaguars. This is fine, except that the Jags have those rear fog lamps, and the Ford guys, used to driving American cars which are not so equipped, seem to leave them on ALL THE TIME. Rear fog lights can be a boon in heavy fog, but such weather is extraordinarily rare in my neck of the woods. So whatever benefits they have are heavily outweighed by the annoyance factor to other drivers, especially at rush hour (gets dark around five during the winter) when you are stuck behind one of these morons, boxed in and unable to pass. The problem is, since the majority of these people have no idea that their car is equipped with these rear lights, there is no signal to give them to turn them off. Flashing your high beams doesn't work--at best, they move over (thereby annoying the driver next to you), and at worst they simply give you the one finger salute. Joshua Turner 97 Taurus SHO > Robert
