I concur. In Europe, drivers ed is mandatory. No drivers ed, not
drivers license.

Yeah, its interesting that if you cannot parrallel park you cannot
have license, but if you can't control a skid on slippery pavement,
its OK.

It would not cost that much for driving simulators. Probably a million
or two for the typical state, but that's not bad considering the lives
it would save.
