The typical duration for an out of state ticket to show up on your record 
is 6 mos to a year.  Your New York ticket must have gotten lost, as after 
all this time if it isn't on your record now, it probably never will.

I have heard, though cannot confirm, that for some states, if you simply 
pay the out of state ticket without any fanfare or contest, it has a good 
chance of conveniently falling through the cracks and never getting 
reported back to your home state.

PA is not a member of the Driver License Compact so any ticket you get in 
PA will not show up on your MD (or any other state for that matter) record.
