Of course. It's the same reason why when two heterosexuals kill a gay man,
it's a hate crime, yet two gays molest and kill a little boy, and it
doesn't even make the front page. It's not politically correct.  The term
"hate crime" needs to be abandoned. I don't think many assults or murders
are pleasant affairs, some degree of hate is usually involved. It's just a
method to tack on additional charges, but only for certain victims. Whether
the victim and/or attacker is white or black, gay or straight, shouldn't
matter. A crime was committed. Treat all cases the same.
